I'll dominate 'serious combatant' Jake Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer will face the American YouTuber in an eight-bout match which will be shown live on Netflix.

Briton Joshua said he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "break" his opponent as the pair met personally to publicize the upcoming bout.

Former two-time world heavyweight champion Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a massive disparity - at Miami's venue on 19 December.

Fighter's Attitude

"I plan to injure his face and break his body up. I aim to demonstrate I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35, said.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I'm going to seriously aim to injure him. That's my goal."

Civil Exchange

In spite of those words, a relaxed Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - usually known for his showmanship - shared friendly words and remained civil with each other.

Paul rather criticized former Joshua rival Francis Ngannou and described him as "ridiculous" after Ngannou declined a match opportunity.

Targeting Tyson Fury

Anthony Joshua, at the same time, took aim at UK rival Tyson Fury - and refused a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a victory for Paul.

"[Paul] outshines Tyson Fury - he showed up," Joshua commented.

"I acknowledge that."

Legitimate Fighter

Despite stating he plans to punish Paul, Joshua chose not to talk badly about his opponent's boxing ability.

"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he remarked.

Paul's History

Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has mainly fought mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since turning professional.

He was defeated by British fighter Fury in last year.

Commercial Success

Nevertheless, the relative newcomer remains one of boxing's largest financial successes, consistently making huge financial rewards.

Prediction and Belief

The 28 year old forecast a knockout win in the fourth or fifth round and stated he would prevent the highly-expected match between Joshua and Fury, which is allegedly in the works for two years from now.

"It will be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul declared.

Size Disparity

As the two fighters engaged in the usual face-off, with their size difference on show, it drove home just how improbable this entire matchup is - and how remarkable it is that the bout is really proceeding.
